My Playlist

Susie of Arabia http://susiesbigadventure.blogspot.com/ shows a playlist on her blog with many of my favorite songs of the early seventies. Sometimes I get stuck there listening and reminiscing my youth!  Last night I added my own playlist to my blog. I stayed up half the night listening to music and trying to figure out how to get the list on my blog. WordPress seems not as “friendly” to multi-media as Blogger, but that’s OK. I’ll figure it out.

So far, you can see the advertisement, “Create Your /Free Playlist,” two of them, showing my two attempts to get the code to work. Next to it, there’s a partial window with the letters PC showing. That’s my playlist. You can click on it, and it might work!

Anyway, I added some songs I listen to these days, since Susie now has the handle on the Oldies!  I’m going to have a lot of fun adding to the list.

My favorite of favorites in the entire world is Ancora, Ancora, Ancora by Mina. I”ve been listenting to that song since 1991, and I never get tired of it. If you listen to just one of my songs, please try that one. If you listen to two, try Volami nel Cuore.

About Marahm

At first glance, I may appear to be a middle-aged American woman with kids, grandkids, retired from a job in a hospital, gratefully relieved from the responsibilities that come with all of that. Behind the image, which is true enough, I am fairly unhinged from much of American mainstream living, having spent twelve years in Saudi Arabia, years that sprung me from societal and familial impositions, and narrow bands of truth. I have learned to embrace my identity as a seeker, an artist, and a writer. I study Arabic and Italian language, because I love them, and I love their people. I still dream of spending more time in the Middle East and Italy, though the dreaming now seems more real than the possibilities. I am a photographer. I write, and sometimes publish, flash memoir, and now a blog or two.

Cool! I listened to your Fairuz songs. I love Fairuz , too. Now I want a playlist for my blog.

  2. I’m so glad to hear you like my music! There are a few obnoxious songs in there, but most of them are pretty easy to listen to. It’s fun creating your own playlist, isn’t it? I’m not sure how to do it on WordPress… but it was very easy on Blogger.
BTW – love your graphic header!

Thanks, ~W~. I’m looking forward to your playlist!

Susie, thanks for the feedback. I’m glad you like the header. I was going to change it again, just for fun, but now I’ll leave it up a little longer.
