New Theme

Since I can no longer manage the original theme, thanks to WordPress’s “new and improved” dashboard, I am trying a new one.

About Marahm

At first glance, I may appear to be a middle-aged American woman with kids, grandkids, retired from a job in a hospital, gratefully relieved from the responsibilities that come with all of that. Behind the image, which is true enough, I am fairly unhinged from much of American mainstream living, having spent twelve years in Saudi Arabia, years that sprung me from societal and familial impositions, and narrow bands of truth. I have learned to embrace my identity as a seeker, an artist, and a writer. I study Arabic and Italian language, because I love them, and I love their people. I still dream of spending more time in the Middle East and Italy, though the dreaming now seems more real than the possibilities. I am a photographer. I write, and sometimes publish, flash memoir, and now a blog or two.

    OMG, you don’t see them?! I’m getting frustrated with WordPress. I’ll keep working on it

    It doesn’t work for me. Troubles uploading the fractals, inability to move the widgets around. I’ve wasted a lot of time trying to make it work, but to no avail.

    I am amazed that you are having no trouble. The WordPress forum has been overhwelmed with complaints.

    BTW, I’ve discovered that you have to click on the name of the blog to get to the home page, where the other widgets are located.

    I also dislike the small font size of the comments section. Comments are as much fun to read and respond to as the original post! So I discovered that you can make all the fonts larger by using Crtl + +, and you can make it smaller by using Ctrl + –

    Hee, thanks for that tip!
    I think some improvements and some problems: I can upload photo’s and plce them directely in my post, But I can’t get to earlier uploaded photo’s, and I don’t get the gallery thing, and I can’t get photos from the gallery into the post.

    I like the simple theme. because the internet access will be faster. What ever the theme … I wish more and more the new theme…
